Short version: too many explanations of investing are either dumbed down to the point of being wrong, or written for people who already have a finance degree. This tries to be neither.
A free, independent, non-commercial website that explains passive investing โ index funds and ETFs โ for people investing in India. Every page is written to be understood by someone with no finance background, using Indian examples instead of textbook ones.
What it is not: PassiveFunds.in is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, does not recommend specific funds or schemes, and does not manage money on anyone's behalf. Nothing here is personalised financial advice โ it's general education. Please do your own research, or talk to a qualified financial advisor, before making investment decisions.
This site is not affiliated with, and does not receive money, commission, or free products from, any asset management company (AMC), mutual fund, brokerage, or index provider. It doesn't run ads, and it doesn't get paid to feature or omit any fund. The Data Points table shows every eligible fund we're aware of, not a curated shortlist.
The core idea โ "let the market be your fund manager" โ started as a slide deck built to explain passive investing to friends and family who found typical financial content either too salesy or too technical. This site is that same argument, rebuilt for the web, kept up to date, and opened up to anyone.
